About FlowState Counseling & Coaching
FlowState Counseling & Coaching was created for people who access clarity, insight, and healing through engagement, movement, and deep presence — not by sitting still and trying to think their way out of things.
“Flow state” describes the focused, immersive space that many performing artists, musicians, athletes, creatives, and neurodivergent people naturally enter when they’re doing what they love. It’s a state of heightened attention, embodiment, and connection — where time fades, the mind quiets, and things begin to make sense again.
As a licensed therapist with a background in the performing arts, music production, athletics, and storytelling, I’ve seen how often traditional models of therapy fail people who are wired this way. Many ADHD and highly creative individuals don’t need more structure imposed on them — they need environments and relationships that allow their nervous systems to regulate naturally.
One of the most reliable ways many people access flow is through movement and nature. Being outdoors — especially in forested spaces — supports regulation, perspective, and a sense of connection that can be difficult to reach in an office or on a screen. This is one reason I offer outdoor walk-and-talk sessions, as well as virtual therapy for those who prefer or need it.
For ADHD minds and creative souls, stillness isn’t always calming. Movement can function as a form of active meditation — allowing thoughts to organize, emotions to surface safely, and insight to emerge without force. Therapy doesn’t have to feel static to be meaningful.
My work is active, collaborative, and conversational. I engage with you, reflect patterns as they arise, and help you make sense of the stories you’re living inside — especially during periods of transition, burnout, or identity change.
FlowState is not about fixing or optimizing you. It’s about helping you reconnect with your natural rhythm, access your innate capacity for focus and presence, and build a life that supports how you’re actually wired — creatively, emotionally, and physically.
